ONEONTA, N.Y. - The women's swimming and diving team swept both Nazareth University and King's College at their home Tri-Match.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
The women's swim and dive team kicked off the day with a big win in the 200 yard medley relay, with Cassidy Payrot (Cicero, N.Y.), Min-Syun Chen (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.), Aubrey Vaile (Wesley Chapel, Fla.), and Anna Bischoff (Oneonta, N.Y.) finishing in first place with a time of 1:55.91. Chen would later lead in both the 100 yard breaststroke and the 200 yard breaststroke, followed closely in both events by newcomer Angie Testani (Endicott, N.Y.).
The 1000 yard freestyle would see Cate Russo (San Pedro, Cal.), Katie Vieira (South Windsor, Conn.), and Avery Sommo (Slingerlands, N.Y.) sweeping the top three spots.
Nazareth would dominate the short distance freestyle events, though the Hawks would bounce back with Payrot making waves to finish first in the 100 yard backstroke. Not far behind was Kate Gucciardi (Cicero, N.Y.) in second. Gucciardi would return to the pool later to place first in the 200 yard backstroke.
The Hawks would be neck-and-neck with the Nazareth Golden Flyers in several other events, with the Hawks ending the swimming events in second place in the 200 yard freestyle relay.
The women's 1 meter diving event saw sophomore Annabelle Lindsay (Hudson Falls, N.Y.) in second place with a final score of 220.85. Lindsay would return later to the 3 meter diving event, taking second again with a score of 214.10.

UP NEXT FOR THE HAWKS
The Hawks will return to Moyer Pool for a home Tri-Meet against the SUNY Oneonta Red Dragons and the SUNY Potsdam Bears on Saturday, November 8th at 9:00 AM.
