ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Hartwick women's swimming and diving team posted a complete team performance, propelled by multiple event winners as they took down the SUNY Delhi Broncos on Friday evening at Moyer Pool.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hawks opened their stellar afternoon with a strong showing in the 200-yard medley relay, as Cassidy Payrot (Cicero, N.Y.), Min-Syun Chen (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.), Kate Gucciardi (Cicero, N.Y.), and Cate Russo (San Pedro, Cal.) powered their way to a two-minute finish.
Hartwick kept rolling in the first individual race of the day, with Danielle DeCarlo (Whitesboro, N.Y.) claiming the 400-yard individual medley in 5:01.54. The Hawks then breezed through the sprint events, securing wins in the 50s as Payrot, Chen, and Sophia Soprano each touched first to keep the Blue and White surging.
Savannah Evans (Livermore, Calif.) capped the dominant effort with a swift victory in the 50-yard butterfly, clocking in at 30.6 seconds. Hartwick delivered a complete team performance, highlighted by Payrot, Chen, Russo, DeCarlo, and Soprano each winning two individual events en route to a commanding 196–30 triumph over the Broncos.

UP NEXT FOR THE HAWKS
The Hawks will host Union College and Springfield College on January 10th with diving events at 9AM and swimming events slated for 1PM.
