ITHACA, N.Y. - The Hartwick Men's Lacrosse team got back on the road to match up with Liberty League powerhouse Ithaca College, falling to the Bombers on Tuesday afternoon.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

• The Hawks prepared for battle against a talented Bomber squad, winning the opening faceoff as they looked for a way to get on the board first.

• Ithaca scored the opening goal at the 12 minute mark and remained in the driver's seat, putting up six goals in the quarter. The Royal Blue and White offense went cold throughout the first quarter, posting one shot.

• Despite the slow start, Hartwick kept their heads up, pushing down the field and generating chances but struggled to slip one past the Ithaca keeper. Physicality from both sides was strictly enforced as some fouls turned out to be costly for the team, with the Bombers scoring in man-up situations.

• The Bombers were able to strike for four more throughout the second quarter, padding their cushion as they carried their lead into the second half with the upper hand.

• Turnover trouble for 'Wick in the third quarter allowed Ithaca to put the game out of reach as the Hawks battled to the last second.

• Garrett Frost (Wading River, N.Y.) found the back of the net for the Hawks in the fourth quarter, scoring his team leading ninth goal this season.

UP NEXT FOR THE HAWKS

The Hawks will head to SUNY Canton for a Saturday matchup with the Roos on March 15th for their final non-conference test at 12PM.
