Jon Smith added a goal and an assist, while Devin Chandler (Wylie, Tex.) recorded an assist on Smith's go-ahead goal. Hartwick finished with 17 shots, including six on goal, and earned 10 corner kicks.

Hartwick held the advantage in shots, 17-5, and shots on goal, 6-3. The Hawks also earned 10 corner kicks compared to Brockport's one.

Hartwick applied pressure early, creating chances through Kayden Zachgo (Warwick, N.Y.) and Joseph Allen (Clifton Park, N.Y.), but Brockport goalkeeper AJ Nelson kept the Hawks off the board. Brockport broke through in the 32nd minute when Aiden Johnson scored to give the visitors a 1-0 lead. Hartwick continued to push forward late in the half, and Mount brought the Hawks level in the 44th minute, finishing a chance assisted by Smith to make it 1-1 at the break.

The Hawks carried that momentum into the second half. In the 53rd minute, Smith put Hartwick ahead with a goal assisted by Chandler and Mount, giving the hosts a 2-1 lead. Hartwick continued to create opportunities through corner kicks and shots from Zachgo and Mariano Kool (Amsterdam, Netherlands) before Brockport scored an own goal in the 72nd minute to seal the game. The Hawks maintained their two-goal advantage through the final whistle to close out the 3-1 victory.
