FREDONIA, N.Y. – The Hartwick College women's cross country team competed at the Fredonia Kara Hall Memorial Invitational on Friday afternoon, placing 12th with 337 points in the 6K race.
Sophomore
Amelia Steitz (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) was the first Hawk to cross the finish line, placing 80th overall with a time of 26:54.1, her second race in a row with a sub 27-minute 6k. She was followed by junior
Julia Weinschreider (Williamson, N.Y./Williamson), who finished 90th in 27:54.3.
Sophomore
Emilia Murphy (Amsterdam, N.Y./Broadalbin Perth) came across next for Hartwick, finishing 108th overall with a time of 30:01.9. Junior
Addison Shank (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) was fourth for the Hawks and 116th overall in 31:15.1, while sophomore
Keziah Anderson (Rock Island, Ill./Rock Island) rounded out Hartwick's scoring five with a 118th-place finish in 31:24.8.
Hartwick is next in action on Saturday, October 10 at the Hamilton Invitational in Clinton, N.Y., set for an 11 a.m. start.
Oneonta won the team competition with 64 points, followed by RIT with 70 points and SUNY Geneseo with 77 points. Hartwick finished with a team average of 29:30.1 and a 1-5 spread of 4:30.7.
