ONEONTA, N.Y. - The Hartwick Hawks Men's Swimming and Diving team is set to compete at the 2025–26 Empire 8 Swimming Championships from February 18–21 at the Webster Aquatic Center in Webster, N.Y. The meet will be hosted by defending champion SUNY Geneseo.
After posting a strong 8–5 record during the regular season, the Blue and White look to carry that momentum into championship competition. Hartwick finished as last year's runner-up to national powerhouse Geneseo after capturing both the 2024 Empire 8 and Allegheny-Empire Conference titles.
The Hawks are anchored by a veteran core led by captains Bryce Rogers (Fulton, N.Y.) and Lane Rawls (Baldwinsville, N.Y.). Hassan Abdelwahed (New Hartford, N.Y.) and Karim Mohamed (New Hartford, N.Y.) will also play key roles as consistent contributors. Abdelwahed enters the meet as a constant threat in the breastroke events while Mohamed is poised to make an impact in the individual medley events.
With a strong upperclass foundation complemented by emerging first-years Keegan Burkhardt (West Hurley, N.Y.) and Badr Aly (East Syracuse, N.Y.), Hartwick aims to close the season on a high note at the conference championships.
