ONEONTA, NY – Anthony Ruggiero receives Empire 8 Men's Volleyball Second Team All-
Conference honors, following a stellar debut season in the Blue and White.

First Year Outside Hitter Anthony Ruggiero (Schenectady, NY) received his first Empire 8 Second
Team All-Conference selection. Ruggiero made significant contributions to his team as an outside
hitter, appearing in all 26 matches of the season. He led his team offensively with 279 kills and 33
service aces, collecting 310.5 total points to cap his freshman year. Defensively, Ruggiero ranked
third on his team with 174 digs and 6 blocks, showcasing his well-rounded impact on the court.
Ruggiero was also named the Empire 8 Offensive Player of the Week earlier this season, the first
weekly honor of the inaugural program.

In addition to Ruggiero's All-Conference honor, Nate Roorbach (East Aurora, NY) was Hartwick's
representative for the Tomorrow's Leaders Team. This accolade is given to those who have
distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits of an outstanding sportsman. As a
first-year setter and court captain, Roorbach appeared in all 26 matches, tallying 743 assists, 24
kills, and 15 service aces. Roorbach led his team defensively with 186 digs, while knocking down 10
blocks on the season.
