HOW IT HAPPENED
Hartwick jumped on the Wolves early in its final regular season road contest, opening the scoring on an unassisted goal from senior attackman Colby Simonetti (Pittsford, N.Y.). Keuka tied the game at one before Spencer Hogaboom (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) answered with an unassisted tally to spark a five-goal run for the Blue and White. Colin August (Garrison, N.Y.) fired in his first goal of the day, followed by Simonetti's second off a feed from Matthew Paquette (Newton, Mass.). Mason Adams (Delmar, N.Y.) converted a pass from Steve Grossman (Magnolia, Del.), and August capped the run with his 50th goal of the season. Keuka responded with a man-up goal at 3:44, but Hartwick closed the quarter with Liam McManus (Skillman, N.J.) scoring off a pass from Hogaboom.

The Hawks carried that momentum into the second quarter, adding seven more goals while allowing just one. August opened the stretch off a feed from Simonetti, and McManus posted two unassisted scores during the stretch. August added two more goals on assists from Adams and Ty Crowley (Wallkill, N.Y.), Grossman finished a pass from Troy Madden (Williston Park, N.Y.), and Ryan Nevins (Warwick, N.Y.) added another tally. Keuka scored late in the half and then opened the third quarter with a three-goal run to cut the deficit to 14-6. Hartwick was outscored 5-1 in the third, with the lone Hawks goal coming from first-year Daniel Trouesdale (Baldwinsville, N.Y.), who recorded his first collegiate tally.

Leading by seven entering the fourth, Trouesdale struck again just 19 seconds into the period, this time assisted by fellow first-year Declan Baker (Peru, NY). Madden followed less than a minute later off a feed from Ryan Wiley (Binghamton, NY). Grossman and Nevins each added their second goals of the day, with Madden assisting Nevins, before Joey Price (Wallkill, NY) capped the scoring with his first collegiate goal off a pass from Grossman.

August led all scorers with five goals, bringing his season total to 53, tying for the second-most in program history. McManus added a hat trick, while Trouesdale, Grossman, Nevins, and Simonetti each scored twice. Hogaboom, Adams, Price, and Madden rounded out the scoring with one goal apiece. Grossman and Madden led the playmaking efforts with two assists each as Hartwick totaled 11 assists from nine different players.

All three Hartwick goalkeepers saw time in net. Kaiden Johnson (Wakefield, Mass.) earned the decision, AJ Saragossi (Levittown, NY) made five saves, and RJ Siwiec (Cinnaminson, NJ) recorded one save.
