ONEONTA, N.Y. – Hartwick tennis celebrated Senior Night in style Saturday afternoon, sweeping Houghton 7-0 at Wilber Park.
The Hawks opened the match with all three doubles points.
Samantha Lantzy (Valatie, N.Y.) and
Gianna Leggieri (Ballston Lake, N.Y.) teamed up for a 6-2 win at first doubles, while
Autumn Millington (Rome, N.Y.) and
Elise Beauharnois (Peru, N.Y.) earned a 6-2 victory at second doubles.
Hartwick carried their momentum into singles play, winning all six matches in straight sets. Leggieri posted a 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles, while Lantzy followed with a 6-3, 6-0 victory at second singles. Millington added a 6-0, 6-1 win at fourth singles, while
Ciara McManus (Kingston, N.Y.) earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory at fifth singles.
