2023-24: 9-1 overall record and a 6-0 conference record in singles going 8-0 at 6th singles... Empire 8 All-Conference Second Team Singles... 1-0 at 2nd doubles defeating Houghton 8-2 with Vanuga... recognized as Hartwick's Empire 8 Sportswoman of the Year... received Philip S. Wilder, Jr. Award for academic distinction... named to CSC Women's Tennis Academic All-District Team... named a 2024 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar Athlete

2022-2023:  2-0 record at 6^th singles… perfect 13-0 record in doubles play with a 1-0 record at 2^nd Doubles and a 12-0 record at 3^rd Doubles with Morrison… 7-0 record in conference play… Empire 8 Second Team Doubles selection

Prior to Hartwick:  Graduate of Highland High School… played varsity tennis and softball… selected to the Mid-Hudson Athletic League Tournament for tennis (2018-2021)… admitted into the NYSPHSAA Section 9 Varsity Girls Tennis Tournament in 2019, 2021, and 2022… four-year NYSPHSAA Scholar Athlete… Ulster County Scholastic Achievement Award for 2021-2022

Personal:  Daughter of Claire and Michael Van Valkenburgh… majoring in Nursing and Spanish… hobbies include sports, reading, learning, cooking, art, hiking, swimming, traveling, photography, board games, and socializing… favorite athlete is Emma Raducanu… created the Future Medical Professionals Club in high school to share her passion for the medical field and healthcare… helped organize her school’s vaccination clinic

Why Hartwick?  “I chose to attend Hartwick because it offers a perfect balance of academics and athletics. I can pursue my majors in Nursing & Spanish while also participating on the Women's tennis team. This athletic/academic balance will help me stay focused and have fun at the same time.”
