Hartwick College Athletics

Abby McClure starts her first season as the men’s and women’s lacrosse goalkeeper coach / operations in fall 2021. She comes to ’Wick after a stint at the University of Dubuque in Iowa.

With the Spartans, McClure was most recently a graduate assistant for the men’s lacrosse team. She specialized in coaching the goalkeeper position group, as well as did a lot of the important background work for the program including social media, academic advising, and recruiting responsibilities.

Before her stint at Dubuque, McClure spent some time coaching on the club circuit with True Lacrosse in Maryland, was a volunteer assistant coach for the West Nottingham Academy girls’ varsity basketball team, and helped out at the Strike Force Lax clinic in the summer of 2017. McClure also held a few positions as a strength and conditioning intern during her undergraduate years at Frostburg State University.

McClure played four years for Frostburg State’s women’s lacrosse team, and graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science and a minor in Coaching. She also recently earned a master’s degree in Sports Management from Dubuque in August 2021.
