2021-2022:  Competed in freestyle and butterfly events… came in 5^th at the Allegheny-Empire Championship in the 500 free… 2021 Empire 8 Fall President’s List… 2022 Spring Empire 8 President’s List... received Phillip S. Wilder, Jr. Award for academic distinction

2020-21: Named to Empire 8 Fall 2020 President’s List … selected to Empire 8 Spring 2021 President's List ... received Phillip S. Wilder, Jr. Award for academic distinction.

2019-20: Named to Empire 8 Fall 2019 President’s List ... selected to Empire 8 Spring 2020 President’s List … received Phillip S. Wilder, Jr. Award for academic distinction ... sixth on the team with 180 dual-meet points and 274.8 total points … picked up 66 points at Allegheny Empire Championship … at conference championships, placed third in the 1,650 free, ninth in the 200 fly,  and 11^th in the 500 free … 10 first-place finishes on the season, sixth on the team … also had 12 second-place and 10 third-place finishes … was a part of seven relay second-place finishes throughout the year.
 
Prior to Hartwick: Attended Corona del Sol High School … lettered in swimming from 2015-2018 for the Aztecs ...qualified for state team from 2015-2018 … Arizona Division 1/6A State Championship Finalist in 2017 and 2018 … Tempe All-City medalist 2015-2018 … qualified for Arizona Senior Open from 2016-2019, medaled in 2018 … qualified for Speedo Sectional from 2016-2019.
 
Personal: Favorite athlete is Katie Ledecky … favorite sports team is the Philadelphia Flyers … favorite movie is The Incredibles … favorite musician is Ariana Grande … son of Blanca and Christopher Canney … Environment, Sustainability, and Society major.
