2019-20: INDOOR: Named Empire 8 Conference Men’s Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week on 1/13 … competed in the 60m, 200m, and long jump … registered personal best in the 60m with a time of 7.73 (14^th) at the Colgate Class of ’32 Invitational on Feb. 15 … at same meet recorded personal best in the 200m with a 15^th place 25.49 … season best long jump of 6.03 meters at the Cornell Southern Tier Collegiate Open on Jan. 11 … combined with his teammates for a season-best 1:45.77 in the 4x200 at the Utica Blue and White Invitational (1:45.77). FOOTBALL: Played on the Hartwick football team ... saw action in one contest. 

2018-19: Received Phillip S. Wilder Jr. Award for academic distinction ... began the season with a season-best 7.82 in the 60m hurdles at the Army Cromell Open on Dec. 1, placing nineteenth … equaled the feat (7.82) at the Cornell Marc Deneault Invitational (2/16), placing twenty-first … ran to a season-best time of 25.50 in the 200m at the Empire 8 Championships at Utica (2/23) … also combined for a season-best 3:53.65 in the 4x400 at the conference meet (2/23) ... in the outdoor season, sprinted to a personal-best time of 12.20 in the 100 meters at the Empire 8 Championships at Houghton (5/3) … ran to a time of 25.50 in the 200m at the Delhi Bronco Invitational (4/13) … jumped to 4.65 meters in the long jump at the Hamilton Midweek Meet (4/16) … combined for a season-best time of 49.08 in the 4x100 at the championships (5/4).

Prior to Hartwick: Transferred from Binghamton University … attended Vestal High School … competed in track for the Golden Bears … scholar athlete from 2012-16 … first team all-conference … two-time second team all-conference.

Personal: Son of Michael and Merri Hayes … Chemistry major … father, Michael, competed in cross country and track and field at Hartwick from 1986-1990 … mother, Merri, played college basketball at Daemen College … hobbies include running, weight lifting, and baseball … favorite athlete is Antonio Brown ... favorite sports team is the Pittsburgh Steelers … favorite movie is Donnie Darko … favorite musical artist is Kendrick Lamar.
