Chyne Kennedy enters her first varsity season as Assistant Softball Coach at Hartwick after serving as an assistant coach during the Hawks' club season in 2024.
Kennedy was coached by Stroop during her tenure at SUNY Morrisville, where she was a three-year starter on both the softball team and women’s ice hockey team. During Kennedy’s final season with the Mustangs in 2021, she batted .417, collecting a team-high 20 hits. Across her career she played multiple positions, but saw most of her time at shortstop and on the mound. She continues to play softball competitively, most recently competing in Calgary, Alberta, Canada at the Canadian Native Championships where she helped her team to a 2nd place finish.
Kennedy graduated with two associate’s degrees from SUNY Morrisville in Massage Therapy and Business Administration, before completing her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Oswego State University.
