Aliza Bogdanich

Aliza Bogdanich begins her first season as assistant basketball coach at ’Wick in the 2013-2014 academic year. She will assist head coach Missy West with all aspects of the Hawks’ program.

Bogdanich, who originally hails from Lyme, NH, arrives at Hartwick after two successful seasons as the top assistant at her alma mater, St. Lawrence University. Over the last two campaigns, Bogdanich helped the Saints to a pair of Liberty League titles and a record of 40-14. In her first season with the program, the Saints won the league’s regular season crown and finished 21-5. They followed it up last season with the Liberty League Tournament Championship and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

Bogdanich spent one season as the assistant coach at Morrisville State College prior to her return to St. Lawrence. From 2005-2010, she taught mathematics at The Foreman School in Litchfield, CT, where she also served as the head women’s basketball and volleyball coach.

As a player, Bogdanich helped the Saints to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances and a record of 95-19 from 2000-2004. In her sophomore season, Bogdanich was part of a Saints team which finished as the NCAA Division III Tournament runner-up.

A captain her senior season, Bogdanich was a 1,000-point scorer, a D3Hoops.com All-East Region All-Star, and the 2004 Liberty League Player of the Year.

She graduated from St. Lawrence in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing. She earned a master’s degree in 2013 in Counseling and Human Development.
