Ashleigh Huckins

Ashleigh Huckins enters her fifth season as the assistant water polo coach in 2017-2018.

In her four seasons with the Hawks, she has helped the program to 81 victories. In 2017, the Hawks went 24-10, finished third in the CWPA, and ended their season with a national ranking of 14. 'Wick also won 20 games and took third in the league in 2015.

Previously, Huckins was the head water polo coach at Marist College where she was at the helm for six seasons. During her time with the Red Foxes, she compiled a 129-92 overall record including a 53-11 mark in conference play. Her teams won three Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships from 2008-2010 and three NCAA Tournament appearances.

Prior to Marist, Huckins was the head coach of the United Water Polo Club and at Sammamish High School in the state of Washington.

Huckins is no stranger to Hartwick as she was a member of the Hawks’ water polo team from 2001-2004. During her time, ‘Wick captured four consecutive CWPA Northern Division titles. She helped lead the 2004 team to a fourth place finish at the NCAA Championships and to the CWPA Eastern Championship while also winning Northern Division Most Valuable Player honors.

Huckins graduated from Hartwick in 2004 with bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a minor in Documentary Photography. She received her master’s degree in Communications from Marist in 2011.
