Aaron Zurn - Assistant Football Coach

Aaron Zurn begins his third season as the defensive backs coach in fall 2023. In his first season with the Hawks, Zurn had two of his safeties receive Empire 8 All Conference recognition. Building on the success from last year, Zurn added on three more Empire 8 All-Conference players while also tying for the conference lead in interceptions per game.

Coach Zurn came to ’Wick 
after having spent the last seven years as an assistant varsity football coach at Sidney Central High School, and also boasts past collegiate coaching experience at SUNY Brockport.  At Sidney, he was the offensive coordinator for the varsity program. In his seven seasons the offense broke multiple school records and averaged 34 points per game. He helped lead the team to its third sectional championship in school history and produced eight all-state selections on offense.

Previously, he was an assistant running backs coach and video coordinator at The College at Brockport. In his four seasons, he helped produce three all conference tailbacks, one All-American (Pat Hashey in 2010), and one conference Offensive Rookie of the Year (Dan Andrews in 2013).

Zurn played tailback for The College at Brockport from 2006-2010, where he earned a pair of Bachelor of Science degrees in Communications and Sport Management. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Recreation and Leisure Management from Brockport, received in 2012.
