Cecelia Mowrey

Mowrey comes to Hartwick after most recently serving as a middle school science teacher as well as both the varsity and modified swimming & diving coach for the past five years. She is a Hartwick swimming & diving alum, having graduated in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in biology and secondary education. She also has received her master’s degree in education (curriculum development and instructional technology) from the University at Albany.


During Mowrey’s time as an athlete at Hartwick, she held the title of captain for two seasons. She currently ranks within the top ten of all-time swimmers and divers for the Hawks in multiple events, notably ranking third all-time in the 200 individual medley. She also currently holds the Hartwick program record for the 100 individual medley with a time of 1:02.25. Mowrey would also receive five Second Team All-Conference honors throughout her career as well as First Team recognition in the 2019-2020 season for her performances in the 400 individual medley event as well as the 800 free relay event.
