Lindsey Kunkle began her tenure as the Head Men's and Women's Track and Field Coach in August 2023. She will enter her third season as head coach for track and field in the 2025-2026 season. She will also enter her third season as assistant cross country coach in the fall of 2025.

At both the 2024-2025 E8 Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Championships, both the men and women's team would place 8th under Kunkle's guidance. In the indoor season, Luca Montesano would also become a program record holder in the 60m hurdles. Four individuals in the 4x200m relay would also set a new program record. For the outdoor season, first year Cody Bazemore would be selected to the Third Team All-Conference in the long jump event for placing third in the Empire 8 Championships. Under Kunkle's leadership, Bazemore would break two school records in sprinting events and become the first Hawk to garner All-Conference status in long jump since the program's reintroduction in 2019. At the outdoor championships, Julia Weinschreider would also shatter her own record in the steeplechase event.

During the 2023-2024 season, Kunkle led several Hawks to new program records and to both the Empire 8 and the AARTFC Championships.

Kunkle most recently served as the Assistant Track and Field Coach at Hamilton College, coaching hurdles, high jump, and horizontal jumps.  Prior to Hamilton, Kunkle spent time in Spokane, Wash., coaching at both the community college and high school levels, designing workout programs for sprinters, jumpers, and mid-distance runners.

Kunkle received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion from Emporia State University, where she finished her collegiate track career as an NCAA Division II All-American in the 4x400 relay.  She then pursued her Master of Science degree in Education at Western Oregon University where she also served as a Graduate Assistant Coach.
