Monastoque was resilient in a three-set thriller on Sunday against Alfred’s Eric Teller to earn the first singles victory of his career. After splitting the first two sets, Monastoque battled through seven Teller match points in the super tie-breaker at the number five singles flight. He finally gained the upper hand, 13-12, and won the final point to secure the match victory.
