McGovern kicked a game-winning 28-yard field goal as time expired on Saturday to lift Hartwick football to its first Empire 8 Conference win of the season, 43-41, over Morrisville State. It marked McGovern’s only field goal attempt of the game. He also connected on four of his PATs in the contest. This season, McGovern has made four of his five field goal attempts and connected on 27-of-32 extra points. He is the Hawks’ third-leading scorer in 2016.
