ONEONTA, NY - Hartwick College volleyball won for the fifth time this season on Tuesday night at Lambros Arena. The Hawks defeated Cazenovia in three sets 25-20, 25-13, 25-21 in the team's Dig Pink match to benefit breast cancer awareness.
Juniors Lauren Mausert (Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna) and Courtney Desmond (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Hendrick Hudson) each made it into double figures for kills in the match. Mausert led the way with 12 with Desmond notching 10. Freshman Kelly Spengel (Cresskill, NJ/Cresskill) chipped in with eight kills and classmate Katie Ryan (Circleville, NY/Pine Bush) added five.
Shannon McGee (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Walter Panas) paced 'Wick in the assist department with 19. Britney Lintner (Ravena, NY/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk) registered 12 assists.
Brianna Eckert (Rochester, NY/Greece Arcadia) recorded a team-best 12 digs in the match and Christina Vitale (Port Jefferson Station, NY/St. John the Baptist) and Spengel each contributed nine.
The Hawks hit the road on Thursday as they play at Morrisville State begging at 8 p.m.
