Ithaca Sinks ’Wick Women’s Lax

            ITHACA, NY – The Hartwick women's lacrosse team dropped an Empire 8 game to Ithaca on Sunday. The Bombers, who are unbeaten in the Empire 8 Conference at 5-0, led 13-2 at halftime and went on to a 22-3 victory.
            Junior Tiffanie Bishop (Shoreham, VT/Middlebury) and sophomore Emily Walsh (Cortland, NY/Cortland) scored first-half goals for Hartwick. Sophomore Brittany LaVaute (Skaneateles, NY/Skaneateles) added a second-half tally for 'Wick.
            Ithaca (6-3) was paced by Racquel Lividini's five goals. Four other Bombers had three goals apiece.
            Goalie Jen Kaye (Altamont, NY/Guilderland) stopped eight in the contest and grabbed a game-high five ground balls. Bishop registered a game- and season-high six draw controls. Erica Scicchitano (Centerport, NY/Harborfields) contributed two draws.
            Hartwick is off until next weekend when it travels to Rochester for a pair of Empire 8 games. The Hawks play against Nazareth on Friday at 4 p.m. and St. John Fisher Saturday at 1 p.m.
