HOBOKEN, NJ- The women's soccer team went on the road to face #22 ranked Stevens and fell by the score of 2-0 on Saturday afternoon. Hartwick's record slips to 3-9 overall and 1-6 in the Empire 8 while Stevens improves to 10-3-3 overall and 5-0-1 in the Empire 8.
The Ducks struck early in the first period. Kathleen Shuckers' corner kick was redirected by Paige Allen and tapped into the goal by Mariah Cleveland to put Stevens on top 1-0.

The Hawks played staunch defense throughout the contest to stay in the game but the offense could only muster four shots. The Ducks scored their second goal in the 51st minute when Lindsay Stoll headed the ball to Ann Heine who put it in the back of the net to make it a 2-0 game.

Stevens had a 23-4 shot advantage over Hartwick. Hope Brown (Sherburne, NY/Sherburne-Earlville) had six saves in goal for the Hawks while the Ducks Kaitlin McClymont made three saves.

Hartwick will return home to face SUNYIT on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. on Elmore Field. The game was moved from the Wildcats' home field due to unplayable conditions.
