Volleyball Falls at Oneonta Invitational

Lintner totaled 28 assists on the afternoon
Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ONEONTA, NY- The women's volleyball team began their 2012 season at the Oneonta Invitational hosted by SUNY Oneonta on Friday afternoon.

In the Hawks' first match of the afternoon, they were defeated by Lewis and Clark College 3-0 (11-25, 10-25, 13-25). Dana Martin (Chester, NY/Burke Catholic) led the team with five kills. Britney Lintner (Ravena, NY/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk) had seven assists and Brianna Eckert (Rochestesr, NY/Greece Arcadia) had six digs.

In the second match of the day, Hartwick lost to SUNY Plattsburgh narrowly in three sets 3-0 (21-25, 21-25, 23-25). Hannah Strom (Kenmore, WA/Inglemoor) led with 10 kills while Martin chipped in eight kills. Eckert contributed 15 digs while Lintner picked up 21 assists.

Hartwick (0-2) will continue play tomorrow with a morning match at 11:30 a.m. Their opponent will be determined later this evening.
