Box Score ONEONTA, NY- The Hartwick women's soccer team used a dominating effort to defeat SUNY Cobleskill 7-0 on Sunday afternoon at Elmore Field to win the 9th annual Erinn K. Brozman Cup. This is Hartwick's second cup win and first since 2009.

Kylie Thayer (Ithaca, NY/Ithaca) led Hartwick with two goals. Stephanie Morini (Holbrook, NY/Sachem North), Cristina Sicari (St. James, NY/Smithtown East), Mackenzie Shipley (Sedro Wooley, WA/Sedro Wooley), Mackenzie Mulligan (East Greenbush, NY/Columbia) and Liz Greco (Canaan, CT/Canton) all scored for the Hawks.

It was all Hartwick as the Fighting Tigers never threatened. Jessica Bentley (Worcester, NY/Schenevus Central) nearly had the game's first score in the 17th minute but her header hit the inside of the post and bounced out. Just seconds later, Thayer scored her first goal of the afternoon from the right side to give Hartwick the lead for good, 1-0. A little over four minutes later, Morini banked in a shot from the right side of the goal to put Hartwick on top 2-0 and the score remained that way at halftime.

The Hawks unloaded on the Fighting Tigers in the second half scoring five times. Thayer hit her second goal of game top shelf to increase the Hartwick lead to 3-0. 2:27 later, Morini found Sicari on the left side of the goal for Hartwick's fourth score of the contest.

In the 76th minute, Daniella Yozzo (Utica, NY/Utica-Notre Dame) hit a long pass that Shipley headed in that put the Hawks ahead 5-0. Hartwick would tack on two more goals to complete the scoring.

Hope Brown (Sherburne, NY/Sherburne-Earlville) received the win and did not face a shot in 64:43 of playing time. Abbie Thomas (McMinnville, OR/McMinville) came in to relieve her for the final 25:17 and also did not face a shot. Amanda Wallace started for Cobleskill and she had 14 saves while Bethany Reynolds had three saves.

Hartwick recorded 42 shots in the game to the Fighting Tigers' zero. The Hawks also had 12 corner kicks while Cobleskill did not record any.

'Wick (2-0) will play next weekend in the annual Mayor's Cup. Hartwick will host William Paterson at 3:30 pm at Elmore Field. SUNY Oneonta will face The College of New Jersey at 1 p.m.
