Volleyball Defeats Wells at Elmira Invitational

Katie Ryan had eight kills against RIT
Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ELMIRA, NY- The Hartwick volleyball team concluded play at the Elmira Invitational on Saturday afternoon.  The Hawks split two matches on the day.

Hartwick defeated Wells 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 25-17). Britney Lintner (Ravena, NY/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk) had 14 assists to lead 'Wick while Shannon McGee (Corltandt Manor, NY/Walter Panas) chipped in with seven digs. Dana Martin (Chester, NY/Burke Catholic) contributed eight kills while Brianna Eckert (Rochester, NY/Greece Arcadia) tallied seven digs.

In the first game against RIT, Hartwick dropped a 3-0 decision (18-25, 23-25, 16-25) Linter led with 22 assists. Eckert had 22 digs. Katie Ryan (Circleville, NY/Pine Bush) led in kills with eight.

Linter was named to the All-Tournament Team. For the weekend, she totaled 10 kills, 51 digs, and 89 assists.

The Hawks will compete at the Union Invitational next weekend. Hartwick will face SUNY Brockport at 6 p.m. and then SUNY Cortland at 8 p.m. on Friday night
