ONEONTA, NY – The Hartwick College Student Athlete Advisory Board and Women's Volleyball Team are joining together to campaign and raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness during the month of October.

The Hartwick match against SUNY Cobleskill on Thursday, October 24th at Lambros Arena will serve as its annual "DIG PINK" match.

The team is supporting The Side-Out Foundation which will support health care professionals in their pursuit of practical solutions for women and men with this dreaded disease, thus enabling those affected to regain control of their lives.

Fans are asked to wear pink to help raise awareness and support breast cancer research, and donations can be made to the Hartwick College team before, during, and after the match. Pink t-shirts will be available for purchase as well as pink ribbons.

Between the second and third sets, a serve competition will take place. Fans must pre-enter at the door with a donation to take part.

The Hawks' campaign goal is $1,000. Donations can also be made directly on the Hawks' campaign page at https://www.side-out.org/cb/campaigns/campaign/7636.

The Hawks' "DIG PINK" match against the Fighting Tigers is slated to begin at 7 p.m.
