ONEONTA, NY – Visiting Nazareth scored three times in the first half with two in the second to earn a 5-0 win over Hartwick field hockey Saturday at Wright Stadium. Catherine Willard netted four goals for the Golden Flyers in the game.

Nazareth out-shot Hartwick only by a margin of 13-11 in the game but the Flyers were able to capitalize on just under 40% of their shots.

Willard would score three times in the first half. She tallied 5:31 into the game on a far post shot from the right side. She scored again from the right nine minutes later and scored on a nearly identical play as her first tally with a low far-post shot.

The Golden Flyers added to their total with two more goals in a 6:06 window in the second half. Willard netted her fourth in a row at 63:41 on a backhand. It marked her seventeenth goal of the year. Kristina Back closed out the scoring from Kelsi Barnholt with 13 seconds left in the contest.

Yanna Boggio (Amherst, NY/Amherst) made two saves in goal in the opening 63:35 for Hartwick.
Jilian Sabatino (Boonton, NJ/Boonton) played the final 6:25 in the 'Wick cage.

Rebecca Reilly (Riverhead, NY/Riverhead) and
Maxine Dunn (Peterborough, NH/ConVal) each registered a pair of shots on goal for the Hawks.
Mckenzie Bond (Baldwinsville, NY/C.W. Baker) had one.

Hartwick is now 4-12 overall and 2-5 in the Empire 8. Nazareth improves to 8-10 and 3-4.
