SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY – Nationally No. 12 Skidmore scored seven times in an 11:58 span in the first half to take down the Hartwick Hawks' field hockey team Wednesday in Saratoga. 'Wick slips to 4-13 overall while the Thoroughbreds improve to 14-3.
           
Skidmore had seven different goal scorers in the contest, led by Dani DeGregory's three goals. Krista Lamoreaux added a goal and three assists and Jenn Hanks contributed one goal and one helper.
           
Hartwick starting goalkeeper Jilian Sabatino (Boonton, NJ/Boonton) made 13 saves in cage in 40:12 of action. Laura Downey (Delmar, NY/Bethlehem) relieved her for the final 29:48 and made eight saves. Jen Spagnuolo (New Hyde Park, NY/New Hyde Park Mem.) also recorded a defensive save.      Hartwick wraps up the regular season on Saturday with a home game against Ithaca at 11 a.m.
