ONEONTA, NY – Local rival, host Oneonta topped Hartwick volleyball in four sets (14-25, 20-25, 28-26, 16-25) in a midweek contest on Wednesday. The Red Dragons move to 6-11 while the Hawks fall to 5-13.

Erin Russell (Wantagh, NY/Seaford) doubled her career-high tally to tie a for a match-best, 26 assists, with Red Dragons senior, Jessica Pelaccio.
Junior right side,
Rosa Maun (Redstone, CO/Roaring Fork), led a group of three Hawks that had at least two blocks. Maun also connected on seven kills on .179 hitting.
Hannah Armstrong (Lansing, NY/Lansing) was Hartwick's leader in kills notching 13.

Ashley Werner (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) led her team in digs with 15, just one shy of her season-high mark. Senior
Alyssa Zeitler (Chardon, OH/Berkshire) added nine to the team's total.
Next, Hartwick travels to Rochester, NY to compete in an Empire 8 Crossover hosted by St. John Fisher College on Saturday, October 8
th. The Hawks will take on the host Cardinals and Ithaca.
