ONEONTA, NY – Hartwick out-shot visiting Alfred 20-2 and led 8-0 after 30 minutes as the Hawks topped the Saxons 14-3 on Saturday at Wright Stadium.

Eight different Hawks recorded at least a point in the contest. They were led by Lauren Rosenberg's (Smithtown, NY/Commack) five goals and two assists. Ashley Werner (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) contributed three tallies and Jessie Matt (Cazenovia, NY/Cazenovia) added two goals and an assist.

Hartwick scored all eight of its first-half goals in a 17 and a half minute span. Werner opened the scoring at 23:19 before Rosenberg netted the next three in a 6:19 window for a 4-0 Hawks' lead.

Abby Letourneau (South Portland, ME/South Portland), Werner, Matt, and Rosenberg each found the net later in the half and the Hawks were comfortably in front at halftime.

AU opened the scoring in the second half but the Hawks responded with tallies from Rosenberg, Matt, and Emma Kaplan (Danbury, CT/Danbury). Nine would be the smallest lead for the Hawks the rest of the way. Courtney Coons (Wilton, NY/South Glens Falls), Young, Kaplan, Letourneau, and Sydney Robert (Watertown, NY/South Jefferson) each registered three ground balls. Werner joined Rosenberg with three draws.

Letourneau caused a game-high five Saxon miscues. Hazel Flores (Brentwood, NY/Brentwood) caused four turnovers. Goalie Carleigh Tarala (Tully, NY/Tully) made six stops for 'Wick in goal.
