MORRISVILLE, NY – Hartwick's volleyball team fell in three set to host Morrisville State on Wednesday night. Set scores were 25-22, 25-20, and 25-20.
With the result, Hartwick's record falls to 10-13 on the season. The Mustangs improve to 17-3.
Kaitlyn Ludder (West Sand Lake, NY/Averill Park) and
Paige Bailey (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) led the Hawks' offense with and six and five kills, respectively.
Rosa Maun (Redstone, CO/Roaring Fork) and
Jamie Reidy (Elmira, NY/Horseheads) each contributed four.
Reidy had the team-high in digs with nine.
Erin Russell (Wantagh, NY/Seaford) added eight digs and 14 assists. Bailey chipped in with seven digs.
The Mustangs received a match-high nine kills from Helena Hanes. Samantha Wolf registered 11 digs with Kim Dunkleman contributing nine. Dunkleman also had five service aces and 11 assists.
The Hawks will look to snap a five-match winless streak this weekend as they host Stevens and St. John Fisher in their final two conference matches of the season on Saturday. 'Wick is 4-2 in league play and remains in the hunt for the program's first Empire 8 Conference playoff berth. The Hawks open with the Ducks at 11 a.m. followed by a match with the Cardinals at 4 p.m.
