HOBOKEN, NJ- The Hartwick men's and women's swimming and diving teams were in action today against Stevens Institute of Technology. The Hawks' men's team dropped to 8-5 with a 187-73 loss today. The women's team fell 153-109.

Yury Chernyak (Sidney, NY/Sidney) took home first in the 200 breast (2:11.01) for the men's team. Chernyak also captured second place in the 200 IM (2:03.95) and 100 breast (59.83) events.

Aron Zhang (Douglaston, NY/Brooklyn Technical) took second in 100 back (54.31) and 100 fly (52.46).
Ryan McLoughlin (New Windsor, NY/Our Lady of Lourdes) came in second in the 500 free (4:52.12).

On the women's side,
Olivia Bart (Bristol, CT/Bristol Eastern) won the 50 free with a time of 25.40.
Emma Reining (Hyde Park, NY/Franklin D. Roosevelt) won the 200 butterfly (2:15.98) and placed second in the100 butterfly (1:02.98).
Ally Schroeder (Plantsville, CT/Southington) won the 200 back in a time of 2:21.86.

Maddy Hayes (Eagan, MN/Eagan) picked up a trio of second-place finishes in the 50 free (25.73), 100 free (55.89), and 200 free (1:59.19).

(Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) finished second in the 100 breast (1:13.93) and 200 breast (2:35.73).
Abby Schwartz (Olean, NY/lean) finished second in the 1000 free (11:34.0).
Channing Lewis (Canton, OH/Canton McKinley) finished second in the 500 free (5:41.87).

Wick took second in the 400 medley relay with a team consisting of Schroeder,
Natalie Athans (Victor, NY/Victor), Reining, and Bart in a time of 4:23.32. Wick also took second in the 200 free relay with a team consisting of Bart, Reining, Schwartz, and Hayes in a time of 1:44.78.

st through Saturday February 24
th, at the Empire 8 Conference Championships hosted at Webster High School.
