Recap: Hartwick lost in its season opener by a count of 9-0 at Wilber Park on Saturday. Victoria Wilson (Trenton, NY/Trenton Catholic Academy) gave Geneseo's Dana Sorrentino all she could handle at second singles as she won nine games. Sorrentino would, however, take the match 7-5, 6-4. At first singles, Sallie Suski (Glenville, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) took four games off her opponent. Sophia Stuart, 6-0, 6-4.
