Recap: The Hawks continued to hit the ball well on day two of the Hartwick Tournament with the hosts sweeping Hilbert and SUNY Poly by 3-0 scores. 'Wick hit .324 as a group to help take down Hilbert 25-16, 25-14, 25-9. Myla Dobson (Burnt Hills, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) hit .833 in the match with 11 kills and just one error in 12 attacks. Celia Gagnon (Kinderhook, NY/Ichabod Crane) recorded six kills and Kaitlyn Ludder (West Sand Lake, NY/Averill Park) and Maria Sorriento (Troy, NY/Troy) each had four. Christina Mattocks (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) recorded team-highs of 21 assists and six digs. Katie Boak (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) and Kiera Walsh (Burnt Hills, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) contributed five digs each. Ludder and Jacqueline Brathwaite (Nassau, NY/Maple Hill) added four apiece. In the second match, the Hawks won 25-21, 27-25, 25-15 against the Wildcats. Sorriento hit .423 with 13 kills. Gagnon had eight kills and Walsh added seven. Jamie Reidy (Elmira, NY/Horseheads) and Mattocks combined for 27 assists. Boak accumulated 13 digs. Walsh and Sorriento had six and five, respectively.
