Recap: Hartwick's women's tennis team was defeated by Houghton on Saturday by a score of 8-1. The match was played at Oneonta's Wilber Park. The Highlanders would lead 3-0 after doubles action. Sallie Suski (Glenville, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) and Victoria Wilson (Trenton, NY/Trenton Catholic Academy) lost an 8-5 decision in first doubles to Tori Noller and Kaylee Jentsch. Skylar Watts (Rome, NY/Vernon-Verona-Sherill) and Hannah Pettis (Glen Falls, NY/Glens Falls) fell in second doubles to Amanda Carl and Catie Moore, 8-4. The lone point for Hartwick came from Suski in first singles. She topped Noller, 6-2, 6-3 to improve to 4-4 on the season. Wilson won five games in second singles in a 6-1, 6-4 defeat to Jentsch. Watts lost in the third flight, 6-4, 6-1, to Carl.
