CLARKS SUMMIT, PA – Hartwick women's tennis routed Clarks Summit 8-1 on Saturday at Birchwood Tennis Club. The Hawks swept all three doubles matches and won five of six in singles for the team win. Hartwick improves to 2-12 in the 2019-20 season. The Defenders, playing in their first match of the campaign, fall to 0-1.

Alyssa Wadsworth (Ilion, NY/Central Valley Academy) and freshman
Cierra Barkley (Baldwin, NY/Baldwin) made quick work of their opposition in third doubles to start the afternoon with an 8-0 win. Sophomores
Victoria Wilson (Trenton, NY/Trenton Catholic) and
Jessica Best (Niskayuna, NY/Colonie) were 8-3 winners at first doubles and junior
Hannah Pettis (Glens Falls, NY/Glens Falls) and sophomore
Alyssa Wilson (San Antonio, TX/MacArthur) triumphed in the second flight, 8-4.
In singles action, Wadsworth cruised 6-0, 6-0 in the sixth spot. Barkley won at fifth singles, 6-0, 6-2. Pettis earned a 6-2, 6-0 victory in the second flight. Best and

Hartwick plays next Saturday at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. The match is set to begin at 1 p.m.
