Shots were fairly hard to come by throughout the first half, as the Highlanders had just a 5-3 advantage in the category over the opening 45 minutes. Jimmy Noel (Cap Haitian, Haiti/Baldwin) came close to scoring in the 5th minute, hitting the crossbar on a free kick in his bid for the early lead.
It took under 12 minutes into the second half for the hosts to secure the lead, as Tobias Webb tallied off the pass by Logan Shrock in the 57th minute. The scoresheet was quiet for a little while before Houghton started sending shots in left and right in the final 15 minutes, scoring three times in under 10 minutes from the 77th minute on. Julius Klohr had the first of those tallies in the 77th minute, Caleb Bailey had the second in the 83rd minute, and Klohr picked up his second of the day in the 86th for his side's fourth goal (assisted by Andy Loomis).
odi Johnson (Seaford, DE/Sussex Technical) played all 90 minutes in net, making six saves.
'Wick will hope to right the ship on Wednesday, as they host Elmira for a 6 p.m. kickoff.
