ONEONTA, NY - The Hartwick men's cross country team kicked off the 2021 season today at the Dick Daymont Season Opener hosted at home on Table Rock/Strawberry Fields. The men's team placed third.
Senior Captain
Caleb Mallery (Endicott, NY/Union Endicott) finished first for the Hawks and fourth overall on the four-kilometer course in a time of 13:58.8. Senior Captain
Mark Garceau (Lebanon, NJ/North Hunterdon) finished next in nineteenth place with a time of 15:03.08. Freshman
Aidan Freda (Westtown, NY/Minisink Valley) was the third Hawk to cross the finish line in twentieth place in a time of 15:30.69.       Â

Omar Nelson (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) finished in twenty third place in a time of 15:52.94. Freshman
Pablo Gutierrez (Cliffside, NJ/Cliffside) rounded out the Hawks scoring in twenty fourth place with a time of 16:08.94. Senior
Will May (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park) was the Hawks' lone displacer in twenty eighth place.
The Hawks will next be in action on Saturday, September 18 at the Oneonta Airfield Invitational hosted by SUNY Oneonta at Fortin Park in Oneonta, NY at 10 a.m.
