ONEONTA, NY – The Hartwick women's tennis team made it four wins out of five on Friday afternoon, defeating the visiting Cortland Red Dragons by a 6-3 scoreline. Both teams are now 4-2 on the season.

Cortland got out to the advantage in doubles play, winning two of three matchups. The Hawks' lone win came at top pairing, as Victoria Wilson (Trenton, NJ/Trenton Catholic Academy) and Jade Killikelly (Jamaica, NY/The Mary Louis Academy) defeated Logan Streety and Isabella Bonapace, 8-3.

Killikelly got it done at #1 singles in three sets over Abby Madigan, 6-1, 1-6, 7-5. Ryann Ashby (Malta, NY/Ballston Spa) and Wilson were victorious at #2 and #3 singles, respectively; the former won 6-4, 1-6, 6-4 in three sets, while the latter took her matchup in straight sets 6-4, 6-0.

The final two 'Wick points came from Val Kohberger (Seneca Falls, NY/Mynderse Academy), who won her fourth pairing 7-5, 6-4, and Colleen Marsh (Marcellus, NY/Marcellus), who took #6 singles by a 6-1, 6-1 score.
