KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – Hartwick used a balanced offensive attack as five different Hawks scored on the afternoon to defeat the Wolves 6-1 in Empire 8 action.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- For the second E8 game in a row, Lex Matarazzo (Commack, N.Y.) put the Hawks on the board first with a 1v1 breakaway goal in the 4th minute of play.
- Keuka responded just over three minutes later with a goal of their own, but that tally would prove to be the only blemish on Hartwick's score sheet.
- Jessica Betts (South Glens Falls, N.Y.) scored her first of two goals on the afternoon three minutes into the second quarter off of a pass from Caroline Aspuru (Farmingville, N.Y.).
- Four minutes later, Leah Tolley (Pittsford, N.Y.) put away a rebound to give the Hawks the 3-1 advantage heading into halftime.
- Sydney Gagnon (Chestertown, N.Y.) put Hartwick up by 3 mid-way through the third quarter with a shot inside the right post. Matarazzo recorded the assist on the goal.
- Hartwick would score twice more in the fourth quarter to cap off the 6-1 win.
- Betts recorded her second of the game with a long drive from the middle on a corner. Sami Shortino (Webster, N.Y.) assisted on the tally.
- Libby Fortin (State College, Pa.) provided the exclamation point in the 54th minute of play.

Hartwick returns home for another Empire 8 contest on Wednesday, October 5 with a 4 PM start against Russell Sage. The game is the team's "Code Blue" game as well as their annual Trinity O'Connor Foundation Game.
