ONEONTA, N.Y. – Hartwick wrapped up their regular season with a pair of non-conference matches at the Oneonta State Tri-match on Saturday afternoon and came home with a pair of wins.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Hartwick vs Baruch
- Shaelyn Thornton (Scarborough, Me.) and Colette Maloney (Williston Park, N.Y.) posted 12 and 10 kills respectively to lead the Hartwick attack in the first match of the day against Baruch.
- Thornton also contributed two aces and tacked on a team-high 16 digs.
- Three other Hawks posted two aces in the match, including Maloney, Braelyn Hornick (Candor, N.Y.), and Sarah Petz (Webster, N.Y.).
Hartwick vs Oneonta St.
- After taking care of Baruch in three, Hartwick was put to the test early against town rival, Oneonta State, as the two blew past the 25-point mark with the Hawks finally taking the set 29-27.
- Falling just short in the first set, the Red Dragons took the closely contested second set 25-22.
- However, the Hawks rebounded to close out the match, winning the third set 25-14 and the fourth 25-23.
- Maloney put together another double-double, leading the team in kills with 19 while adding 20 digs.
- Kaileigh Brandow (Manorville, N.Y.) and Staecia Silofau (Kapolei, Hawaii) each added 12 kills to the Hartwick offense.
- Thornton fell just short of double digits in kills with 9, but picked up 17 digs.
- Hornick ended the second match with 44 assists and 10 digs.
UP NEXT FOR THE HAWKS
After receiving a first round bye, Hartwick will head to their second straight Empire 8 tournament held at St. John Fisher. Semifinal match is set for Friday, November 4 at 7:30 PM. The Hawks will face the winner of the first-round match of Nazareth vs Utica which will be held on Tuesday, November 1 at Nazareth.
