Hawks Claim Big Empire 8 Opening Win Against Keuka

ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Hawks opened up Empire 8 play with a key 19-point victory over the Keuka College Wolves on Friday night.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
 
  • The Hawks trailed by five after three minutes of action, but quickly erased the deficit and did not look back to carry the lead for the remainder of the contest.
  • Hartwick turned 12 offensive rebounds into 26 second-chance points, while also picking up 12 points off of Keuka turnovers.
  • Four Hawks scored in double figures on the night.  Nick Eiler (Highland Mills, N.Y.) led the way putting away 18.  The senior also completed the double-double, pulling down 12 boards.
  • Anthony Girard (Chestertown, N.Y.) posted 16 points, including a tone-setting three-pointer to open the game.
  • Kevin Felasco (Liverpool, N.Y.) added 13 points, while Jeremiah Boateng (Springfield, Va.) came off the bench to pick up 10 points.
