ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Hawks traveled up the hill on Wednesday afternoon for a non-conference tilt with Oneonta State. The Red Dragons got the better of Hartwick picking up the rivalry win, 5-1.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The Hawks had three early corner kick opportunities in the first half, but it was the Red Dragons who struck first in the 25th minute of action.
- Using the momentum of the first goal, Oneonta continued to pressure the Hawks, eventually taking the 2-0 lead in the 44th minute.
- Kwame Amissah-Arthur (Waterbury, Conn.) got two shots off early in the second half, one of which was destined for the top left corner if it wasn't for the Red Dragon's goalie making the stop.
- Oneonta found the back of the net in the 58th minute and once again in the 63rd for a 4-0 lead.
- Hartwick's offense eventually broke through with Jim Mahony (Bournemouth, England) scoring in the 66th minute of play to cut the Red Dragon lead to three.
- Rodrigo Fernandez (Leon, Mexico) picked up the assist on Mahony's tally.
- The Red Dragons ended up putting the match away with their fifth goal of the game in the 71st minute of play.
