Hartwick and Keuka Battle to 1-1 Draw in E8 Play

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The Hawks hit the road again on Saturday to take on the Keuka College Wolves in Empire 8 action.
 
THE BASICS

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
 
  • Hartwick got off nine shots, two of which were on goal in the first half.
  • On the flip side, Keuka only got off five shots, but three of those were on goal.
  • Aden Razukiewicz (Warwick, N.Y.) denied all three of Keuka's shots on goal in the first half.
  • Jim Mahony (Bournemouth, England) was granted a penalty kick opportunity in the 51st minute of action.  The junior converted the attempt to give the Hawks the 1-0 advantage.
  • Hartwick continued to make things difficult for the Keuka keeper, getting off 10 shots and putting five of those on goal.
  • Unfortunately for the Hawks, the Wolves converted one of their chances in the 63rd minute to even the contest at 1-1.
  • Neither squad was able to break the deadlock and had to settle for the tie.
  • In addition to Mahony, Jake Zona (Liverpool, N.Y.), Kwame Amissah-Arthur (Waterbury, Conn.), and Alex Norgeot (Cohassett, Mass.) each put two shots on goal for Hartwick.
  • Razukiewicz finished with four saves.
 
UP NEXT FOR THE HAWKS
 
The Hawks will make another non-conference mid-week trip to SUNY Delhi on Wednesday, September 28 for a 7 PM kickoff.
