Cardinals Early 2nd Half Goal Puts Away Hartwick

PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The Hawks dropped a 1-0 decision on Saturday afternoon on the road at St. John Fisher.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
 
  • The Hawks matched the Cardinals shot for shot in the first half with each squad putting up three. 
  • Hartwick put two of those three shots on goal, but the Cardinals keeper recorded the saves.
  • After a scoreless first half, St. John Fisher turned it up a notch offensively and were rewarded with their efforts in the 52nd minute of action, converting with a header off of a corner kick.
  • In the second half, Hartwick would only be able to get off two shots compared to St. John Fisher's seven.
  • Time ran out for the Hawks to find the equalizer and the Cardinals held on to win 1-0.
