Six Hawks Score in Double Figures to Cruise by Highlanders

ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Hawks out shot the Highlanders 53% to 38% in the contest as they cruised to a 97-76 Empire 8 win on Friday night.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
 
  • The Hawks were efficient within the paint, picking up 60 of their 97 points on layups or jumpers across the 40 minutes of action.
  • Hartwick also held the visiting Highlanders to just 14% shooting behind the arc in the first half, while hitting 38% of their own.
  • All-in-all, the Hawks saw six players record double-digit points, two of which recorded double-doubles in the contest.
  • Bobby Connors (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) went 8 for 10 from the field including two three-pointers to pace the Hartwick offense with 18 points.  The senior also pulled down 12 boards to complete the double-double.
  • Cooper Francis (Lynbrook, N.Y.) also recorded a double-double, picking up 10 points and 11 rebounds.  The sophomore also collected four assists.
  • Jeremiah Boateng (Springfield, Va.) recorded 13 points, two of which came off of a breakaway dunk off of a Houghton turnover in the first half.
  • Kevin Felasco (Liverpool, N.Y.) also recorded 13 points.
  • Sammuel Prosper (Milford, Mass.) scored 11 points, while Anthony Girard (Chestertown, N.Y.) came off the bench to score 14 points and dish out four assists.
