WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Hawks began the game making forward progress with little resistance, the team was able to generate a shot on goal within the first five minutes of the game but unluckily hit the crossbar.

Houghton responded with a shot of their own just four minutes after but missed wide.

Hartwick continued to push the ball downfield and were able to touch the scoreboard first after Nick Nowak(Shoreham, N.Y.) was able to find Sean Burke(West Midlands, England) and Burke put it past the goalkeeper in the 24th minute.

The Highlanders answered back with a goal in the 36th minute to tie things up at one a piece.

With the first half coming to a close, the men posted six shots compared to Houghton's four and won the corner battle three to one.

Kicking off the second half, the Hawks kept up the pace generating an early shot on goal once again but the chance was saved.

Burke notched his second goal of the game in the 56th minute after being assisted by Thomas Herzog(Ridge, N.Y.).

After some time, Houghton was able to tie the game up in the 73rd minute.

The squad posted one final shot with time expiring but the shot fell wide as the Hawks picked up a conference point in their tie with Houghton.
