Men's Swim and Dive Grab Top Spot In Tri-Meet


Oneonta, N.Y. – The Hartwick Men's Swim and Dive Team were victorious in their Tri-Meet against The College of Saint Rose and SUNY Delhi.

 
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • The Hawks began their day off  with Jack Armstrong(Windham, N.H.) leading the charge and putting up a whopping score of 299.80 in 1m diving. Armstrong followed up with another strong performance in 3m diving with a score of 278.30

  • For their first event of the day for the men, the grouping of Eamon Griffin(Amherst, N.H.), Evan Nezat(Jacksonville, NC), Boden Tito(Southington, Conn.) and Sebastian Knowles(Plano, TX) placed second in the 200 yard medley relay to start the day.

  • Bryce Rogers(Fulton, N.Y.) took first in the 200 yard freestyle with a blazing time of 1:49.65.

  • Hassan Abdelwahed(New Hartford, N.Y.) continued the great start for the Hawks as he grabbed first place in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:00.83.

  • Carrying the momentum as well was Mikey Schultz(Binghamton, N.Y.) grabbing first place in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 1:56.43. Tito placed second with a time of 2:07.43.

  • Abdelwahed followed up his great 100 yard breaststroke performance with another first place finish, this time in the 200 yard breaststroke with a finish of 2:16.12.

  • Cameron Drake(El Cajon, Calif.) took first place in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:04.34.

  • Schultz rounded out his great day with first place finishes in the 100 yard butterfly and the 200 yard IM with times of 52.88 and 2:02.22 respectively.

  • The squad capped off their day with a first place finish in the 400 yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:17.58 completed by Rogers, Griffin, Abdelwahed and Schultz.

UP NEXT FOR THE HAWKS

The Hawks will return to Moyer Pool for a dual-meet with Nazareth on October 28th beginning at 1 PM.
